in regular the crew at TCEC ( Turtle Conservation and Education Center ) 2 time a week drive to snorkeling to sea. it is not to far from conservation drive by boat and start to activities to pick seaweed up and bring to conservation Center as turtle food. it are not all the sea turtle species take seaweed as favorite food. Green sea turtle is most preferer the seaweed. the TCEC crew do not take all the sea weed. it will select the one species can be preferer for sea turtle ( Green sea turtle ) the one sea weed species call Glacilaria Verruccosa, or in local language call Bulung Sangu. This kind of sea have a height nutrition especial for turtle in recovery all reason cause the sea weed has harmony combination of food, potential source of nutrition and antioxidants.
the seaweed ( BULUNG SANGU ) have potential nutrients and antioxidants content Carotenoids, vitamins ( A,C,E ) fatty acid ( Omega 3 and 6 ).and also can consumed as lost cost vegetable and salad by the local people.
in this acivities the sea will selected by crew and bring into the conservation and share to pond which green sea turtle in recovery. this kind of food help to give energy the turtle before they are ready to return back into the sea.
