Turtle Rescue on weather unpredictable

The rescue team from TCEC and TURTLE GUARD received a report on January 24, 2022 from the BSTS Kuta team of a stranded turtle that was entrusted to conservation on Kuta beach according to information from the Bali Sea Turtle Sociaty Team seen from the shore of a floating turtle which was not yet known. the types and sizes are swayed by the currents into shallow waters, transported to the BSTS by the people who sell on the Kuta beach.

After that, they were picked up from the Serangan TCEC team with a weak turtle. through the initiative of the TCEC rescue team, they were brought to the Kedongan vet for further health checks.

 

 According to the veterinarian, I am FLYINGVet drh I Wayan Yustisia Semarariana at the Kedongan vet the turtle that was rescued was a lengkang or Olive Ridley, a male, 45 cm long, 42 cm wide, with strong dehydration by conducting further examinations through blood tests and turtle x-rays. He was known to have liver problems and parasites while the first treatment was given intravenous fluids without giving antibiotics because of concerns about the turtle's weak condition with liver complications.

After handling the turtles for 1 x 24 hours from the Kedonganan vet team, the turtles have now been moved to the treatment pond at TCEC Serangan. Supervised by a team of veterinarians for health development. still in the treatment pond, the water in the pond is set very shallow to make it easier for the turtles to breathe and fresh fish food is provided in the pond to stimulate the turtle's appetite.
